Meet Cara Luxmoore – The Legend Behind the Snow Express

Kia ora! I’m Cara – Driver, Tour Guide, and founder of the Snow Express. Born and raised in Auckland, but after 20 years cruising the stunning (and sometimes sketchy) roads of the South Island, I’m about as Southern as a cheese roll!

I’ve racked up a solid stash of driving creds – Classes 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 – and spent years behind the wheel doing it all! From city streets to deep underground in the gold mines, running charters, and touring the best spots in Aotearoa, I’ve tackled everything from icy alpine passes to twisty coastal highways. If it’s got wheels and a road, you bet I can drive it!

The Snow Express is a tight-knit, two-driver team – me and my equally road-savvy co-pilot – making sure your journey is smooth, safe, and stress-free. No dodgy rides with randoms – just us, our trusty little bus, and a heap of good vibes getting you where you need to go.

Whether you’re heading up the mountain for a ski mission or rounding up the gang for an epic group adventure, we’ve got you sorted. So chuck your gear on board, grab a seat, and let’s hit the road…

– '“No stress, no hassle, just good times!”

Meet the Snow Express Minibus - Small but Mighty!

Say kia ora to our 22-seater Toyota Coaster - your trusty steed for adventure! She’s no stretch limo, but she’s got plenty of heart and enough grunt to get you where you need to go.

Room for the Whole Whānau – Comfy seats, plenty of space… well, unless there are 22 of you – then it’s a cosy kinda comfortable!

Handles All Conditions – Snow, rain, sunshine – no worries! The Coaster takes on mountain roads and coastal highways better than a big bus!

Good Vibes Only – Onboard tunes, quality banter, and a local driver who knows the best routes (and probably a few good stories too).

Book Your Ride – Flick us a text or give us a call! If we don’t pick up straight away, don’t stress – we’ll give you a call back as soon as we’re free. Probably just wrangling the bus or grabbing a pie!

“Hop aboard, and let’s hit the road!”
